Dive into spectacular atmosphere of mysterious purification ceremony in the middle of Yucatan forest where "Mayan civilization heart" is still beating. The descendants of this great people have carried their traditions through the centuries. Nowadays villages are welcome for tourism and kindly share their heritage with us. By joining the tour, you will see how today's Mayan families live, see some antiquities and learn how to cook tortillas. Later, with a guide, you will go to prepare for the cleansing ritual, under the guidance of an experienced shaman. Temazcal is a steam room, where heated volcanic stones will be brought in and poured with water, fragrant with the aromas of the local forest. Complete immersion in darkness and silence is akin to our stay in the womb of our mother, and the Maya believed in the healing properties of Temazcal. After Temazcal, you will be invited to a crystal clear cenote, and at the end of the evening you will have a traditional dinner. Our tour starts from lobby of your hotel.
